The Colorado Street Bridge that can be seen on the 134 East/West Pasadena Freeway near the Rose Bowl, was built in 1913. This has also gained its popularity being called Suicide Bridge. As early as 1919, it recorded the first suicide. An estimate of at least 100 people ended their lives leaping the 150 feet into the arroyo below.

Around 7:30 p.m. as the sun was just setting down the horizon, we climbed up the bridge. This concrete bridge spans 1,467 feet across the Arroyo Seco, the link between the San Gabriel Mountains and the Los Angeles River.

It is also known for its Beaux Arts arches, ornate lamp posts and railing. These railings are there to protect people from jumping. The lights on the left are from the cars on the freeway.

A peek through the railings of the bridge, I can see a hotel.

This was taken last week Thursday when the moon was waxing and honestly to be on the bridge was a little bit scary. Shivers!!
