I took two days off last Thursday and Friday, just for fun! Was I a jet setter? Did I fly to some exotic place?
No, I did not. Zee and I took Amtrak from Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, which is just 5 minutes away from home. We boarded the 9:30 a.m. trip to Santa Barbara, a beautiful coastal and University town. We came back the same day. Friday was a good day to rest to prepare for the weekend activities.
Saturday, our hometown association (Philippines) had a picnic at Boisseranc Park in Buena Park (Orange County). It was also a prelude to my natal day celebration and I donated one of the two suckling pig that was served at the picnic.
On Sunday, Zee and I drove to Pelican Hill Resort, in Newport Coast and met up with one blogger friend Barb and the famous Lucinda B Rabbit from Colorado.
